Welcome to the 3 Step System for Peace and Happiness

Overcoming the causes of Anxiety and Creating the Resilient You

Past and Childhood Experiences

The truth is if something traumatic or distressing has happened in your life, you will feel anxious and be triggered by similar situations in your present-day life stirring up the same feelings of distress. I have created the 3 Step System to Freedom, Peace and Happiness to ensure that you can create a healthy mindset to allow you to move on in your life without the anxiety you have.

Feeling anxious will be triggered by something in your past. For example, if your parents saw the world as hostile or dangerous you might have learnt to feel the same way.

In your first 7 years of life much your subconscious beliefs and how you interact the world are formulated. This means that which if you are raised in a nurturing and safe way you will be able develop strong coping skills that will enable us to deal with what life throws at you.

If you face difficulties in your childhood that create beliefs that make you feel insecure and unsafe, this will have created a vulnerable state for you that will result in you being unable to cope with life challenges which will result in anxiety or other emotional difficulties arising.

For example, if we endured physical and verbal bullying at school this could manifest as anxiety later in life. You were traumatised and you carry that trauma in our body every day.

Everyday life and habits that may be affecting you.

Lifestyle and the way you spend your time can affect the way you feel. This could be:
• Exhaustion or stress
• Long working hours
• Pressure at home, at work or feeling pressure on course you are undertaking.
• Housing problems
• Money problems

Diet

Diet will affect your mood on a day today basis such as;
• Drinking too much caffeine
• Eating lots of sugar
• A poor diet generally

Your Physical and Mental Health

Physical health can have a big impact on your mental wellbeing. For example, if you have long term physical health condition or experience chronic pain you will be more vulnerable to anxiety.

If you are experiencing other mental health issues such as depression this also will result in anxiety.
Other contributing factor to possible causes of anxiety could be drugs and medication and genetics.
In all the causes mentioned your loss of resilience and the creation of a vulnerable state which underpins a loss of coping skills which can lead to anxiety be an issue.
